On 22nd November 2004, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
I decided then and there that I was going to fight this disease with positivity, optimism, reality & science. The idea of documenting and sharing my experience via a website quickly evolved. Thus, exactly three weeks after my diagnosis, miltcentral was born.
It is coming up to 9* years since diagnosis- a length of time I was unlikely to witness- and am feeling great, and enjoy a wonderful. busy & healthy life.
I share my story in the hope that it inspires those with leukaemia, their carers and those facing life-threatening challenges in their lives.
My blogposts during leukaemia treatment can be read here.
*16 and counting.

YOU ARE A INSPIRATION.I wasn’t always abe to go to his appts. So you gave me the opportunity to see all the steps cancer patients have to go through. You truly are a magnificent person with super hero powers and bravery. I hope we continue to be able to see your progress even after you’ve been cured. Thank You and your family for sharing your journey with us.Love
Angela Kempton and family.
Dear Angela,
That is the sweetest message, and has made my evening (which was already quite lovely) Thank you so much, and all my best wishes. Milt
